The gates of hell shall not prevail in Kenya

image from  https://kingdom777.wordpress.com/ The realm of the devil, the contender, the accuser has established itself on this nation. But he and his minions will not prevail. Because you and I have access to the key. Prophesied by Isaiah [22:22, NIV] – I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. Fulfilled in Matthew [16:18-19] – And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Though hades – hell – toil and wage an onslaught on you and I, try and hold us hostage within its gates [place of transaction, decision making, announcements and judgement], we hold the key, because we belong to Christ. And hell knows this. Hell is on the back foot, on the defence...

Kenya's colonial demonic mantle

image from shutterstock Covid-19 came. And with it the decision to curtail movement as much as possible. Work from home, physical distancing, and then – a curfew. With the curfew – came brutality on the Kenyan civilian by the police. Not all police. Some. Yes – the Kenyan was outside the curfew time. Like the woman in the background of a news clip, walking in town at dusk, with one child on her back, the other’s hand tightly clutched, and her bag in the other hand. Past seven pm. I hope she and her children got home safely without receiving a bludgeoning from the police. I have watched one news briefing and a few videos. I am trying not to watch any more. My heart is hurt. What has rend my heart is not the beating of the Kenyan by the police. It was the glee, the sniggering, the snickering, the unseemly comments they made as they beat me and you. The savage emotional violence against a fellow Kenyan. Repeated by an alleged policeman on a video clip. I have spoken ...

Out of order

image from abidingtv One of the things that I have learned is that when I pray, for a person or a situation, I should first ask questions God one vital question – what am I praying for and about in this situation.   This is because, knowing God’s will in any situation is important.   Otherwise you will pray in futility.   Recently as I prayed for someone, unasked I might add, I asked God – how do I pray this, how do I pray for this person?   I received, “Out of order”.   It was a pause and think moment.   Out of order?   A person can be “out of order”?   Like a loo?   Horrid – as a picture of an “Out of order” sign came to mind.   Sign on the door, and leaking flowing fluids on the floor.   Faecal matter urine substances?   Not a pretty sight. Are you 'Out of Order'?   How do you know you are “Out of Order”?   The answer is simple - do you bring order to your space - or chaos? If you are in order, no...

May the state of our nation, be of union with You oh Lord

image from treasurefromheaven.org Online they say. Live and let live. So long as I am not harming anyone else. You will know you don’t know [utajua hujui]. Do not judge. Struggle with your own state [pambana na hali yako]. Of importance is life [bora uhai]. It is burning you where [inakuwasha wapi]. Be thinned by yours [Hȋjio ni ciaku]. Let me be thinned by mine [Nȋke hȋjio nȋ ciakwa]. They turn political and say. The razor blade is the same one [wembe ni ule ule]. Army ants [thuraku]. Come out come out [kumira kumira]. Ruto will never be president. Raila will never be president. Kenya is a fertile country, able to feed herself and export surplus. Food is no longer grown in Kenya because fertilizer, brokers and imports. Milk farmers cannot sell to their neighbour. Manure cannot be used to fertilise the land. A national medical fund exists. We raise money annually for neonatal care. Trained medical personnel are unemployed. Do...

Spiritual independence for the nations of Africa

image from  https://www.quora.com Last week during an intercessors prayer meeting for Africa, a topic discussed was slavery and the ravages it did on the African person and the continent.  This led me to thinking about colonisation too. Slavery came to Africa in the 15 th century.  Africa’s wholesale colonisation was in-between the 1870s and 1900.  The wave of liberation and self rule was majorly in the 1960’s.  Those are many years of toil and trouble. The gaining of independence, was the removal of imperialist power over us.  I Googled the word imperialism.  It says that it is “a policy of extending a country's power and influence through colonization, use of military force, or other means.” Of interest to me is “or other means”.  Which translates to me to mean “or any other power/s”.  Power operates in two realms.  The physical, and the spiritual.  Ephesians 6:12 [KJV] says that, we wrestle not against flesh a...
